FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
The book of Revelation can scare many people because the book deals with the end of the age of which we live. But, if you are a true believer we have no need to fear but to rejoice in the glorious return of our Lord and Savior!
It is my desire that your joy be full even in the event of the end of the age in which we live. Starting in April on Wednesday nights at or around the 16th, I will be beginning a study on the book of Revelation. This will be a verse-by-verse study and you might be surprised how events are unfolding all around us as we speak.
Jesus said “No one knows the day or the hour of His return”. However, He did say that 24). If you are interested in these times in which we live, you will not want to miss this study. Therefore, I would like to invite you to come out and be a part of this in-depth study in eschatology stating in mid-April.
Important Notice: For all church members who work with children as in Children’s Church, Nursery, Sunday School, TeamKID, Bible School, and Youth; it is very important that the background checks are returned to Alma McCutcheon no later than October 31st. Those who do not return their background check by that date will not be allowed to work with children. Please see Alma if you have any questions.
Good morning PRBC family and friends. . . .
Several have indicated that they would be willing to help this coming Saturday 10/25 with a Helping Hands event at Jack and Carolynn Thompson’s house, clearing away a tree that came down during the wind storm a couple of weeks ago. We will meet at PRBC @ 9:00 Saturday. If you cannot come that early but would still would like to help, contact me for the address where we are working.
I will have log splitter (maybe 2) and trailer on site. If you have a chainsaw, please bring it. We will have several saws there already, but you never know if we will need others.
The biggest need is hands and feet. As we get the wood cut and split, we will be stacking it on the trailer and moved to Paws Sanctuary out past the hospital. Once there, we will need to stack it for Sandy. The more hands and feet we have, the easier and faster it will be. I’m hoping we can get everything on one trailer load, but there might be an outside chance that we would need to make a second run.
My goal is to be finished by 2:00 pm. If you cant’s stay the entire time, that’s OK. Every bit of help is appreciated and will make the entire project easier to tackle.
If you have safety glasses please bring them. I would also recommend wearing long sleeves and gloves; we have seen some poison ivy in the area. We have cleared most of it away , however there’s no promise that it’s all gone.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
See you Saturday!
