“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
Then the righteous will answer him ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?
The King will reply ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me’ Matthew 25:34-40
Christmas Cantata! December 20th at 6:00 pm. Again this year, Randy Hensley will lead the choir in its presentation of Joel Lindsey’s ‘Emmanuel‘, Celebrating Heaven’s Child. Choir members from First Baptist Church will join Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Choir in this performance. The public is invited! Come celebrate the season with this uplifting spiritual presentation. Dessert will be served after the Cantata!
◊ December 19th and 20th: We will be participating in a Christmas play with the youth. It is called “A Simple Christmas Photo”.
Preschoolers will be the animals in the stable. The only practice they need to come to is the dress rehearsal on Dec. the 19th. The performance will be before the Cantata on Sunday night Dec. 20th.
We are working on costumes but if you have any ideas or you would like to help, see Cindy Kolb.
Elementary kids will be shepherds or wise men. They are welcome to come to all rehearsals on Sunday evenings at 6. But, if they can only come to the dress rehearsal on Dec. 19th they can still participate.

“MERRY CHRISTMAS” FROM THE PRBC POSTMASTER
Once again we have the privilege to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ and in the ongoing traditions of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, the post office will again be open to receive and post your Christmas cards for our regular attendees.
The “Post Office” was started over 20 years ago as a way for us as a church to help the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. The Baptist Young Women decided to ask the people of the church that instead of sending their Christmas cards for the regular attendees of the church through the regular mail to “send” them through the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church “Post Office” and the postage would be given to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
For you newcomers we ask for a gift to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for the amount of the postage or whatever God leads you to contribute. Please place your “postage ” in the envelope provided complete the information on the front and drop it in the offering slot.
Remember to give the cards to the “postmaster” or drop them in the card slot at the window so the may be post marked, counted sorted and put up by the “postmaster”. The only address we required is the FULL FAMILY NAME. Remember to collect your cards from your box each Sunday.
The “postmaster” loves the privilege of doing this every year , but is human and mistakes will happen. If someone else’s cards show up in you family box please just slip them back in the mail slot and they will be taken care of.
The names on the boxes are in alphabetical order, according to your last name, as close as we can do it without having to change all the names every year. If your name is not in the alphabetical list please check at the very end of the list to find your box.
If we missed assigning you a box or if you are new to our congregation, please check in the general delivery boxes on the bottom row that your last name begins with and take only your cards as several may be sharing these boxes.
In the past we have processed over 2,000 cards in one year. It will be hard on the “postmaster” but let’s try to top that this year.
The post office will officially open November 29th & close on January 3rd
